Ampliphy is a shop and a delivery platform for digital comics and books, with support for many more types of content in the works. Upload your files once, then hand out access however suits you — a Kickstarter backer list, a Patreon tier, a code, or a sale. No upfront costs.

Upload
Make an item, drop in the files, write the page. JPG or PNG for comic pages, and EPUB for books — plus a PDF if you have one.

Decide who gets in: anyone who buys it, particular Patreon tiers, a backer list you upload, or codes you hand out yourself.

Everyone lands in a library they can read in the browser, and every file is downloadable without DRM — so a reader who downloads has their own copy to keep.

A worked example, on a €5.00 item
The reader pays €6.25. The processing figure is an illustration, not a rate.
You set prices excluding sales tax. It is applied at the checkout based on the buyer's location and then remitted for you, so your share is always calculated from the price you set. Processing is the one deduction we cannot print honestly — it depends on the payment method and the country, and it comes off your share. Earnings appear on your dashboard as they happen, and you request a payout when you want one.
Reads where they already read
Every library has an OPDS catalogue behind it, so a reader can register it once in the app they like and your new issue simply turns up there. Books can also be mailed straight to a Kindle.
What your readers get
A key that does not expire, and files without DRM that they can download and keep. Nothing is locked to an app or a device, and nothing has to be bought twice. It is worth saying so on your campaign page.
Your backer report becomes their library.
Export the backer report from your campaign and drop the CSV in. We read the rows, issue one access key each, and email them out. You see exactly who will get what before anything sends.
Preview before you send. Rows that are missing an email or that you have already fulfilled are listed on their own, so a bad export is something you fix rather than something you apologise for.
Run it again for late pledges. Re-upload the newer report whenever you like. Anyone already holding a key is skipped, so nobody gets two.
The invitation already knows who they are. A backer signs up with the email they backed with, and everything you sent is waiting in their library. There is no code to type in, and no way to lose it.
Fulfilment costs nothing. A backer redeeming a key is not a sale, so no share is taken on it.

Which tiers unlock The Long Way Down #4:
Ticking a tier grants access at once. Unticking it revokes access the next time those patrons open the item.
Per tier, per item — not a pass to everything.
Connect your campaign and your tiers come across as they are. Then choose, item by item, which of them unlocks it. The back catalogue can stay open to everyone while the new issue sits behind the top tier, and you never have to build that rule twice.
Pledges stay on Patreon. We read the tier a patron is on, that is all. You keep the relationship, the billing and the posts exactly where they are.
Patrons read it properly. Tier access opens the same reader and the same library as a purchase, rather than a file attached to a post.
It can be for patrons only. An item can be visible on your page to the people who already have access and to nobody else, so a new issue can exist for your patrons without being on show to everyone.
A lapsed pledge closes the door gently. Access ends with the pledge. If you also have the item on sale, a patron who is stepping back can buy a permanent copy of what they were reading.

Ampliphy.me is free to use, though there is a 10% fee on all on-platform sales, plus the payment provider's processing fee. There are no delivery fees.
Do my backers need an account before I can send keys?
No. The invitation goes to the email addresses in your backer report, and then each backer can simply download the Item with a unique link included in the email.
Can I keep selling the same work elsewhere?
Yes. Nothing here is exclusive, and your work stays entirely yours.
Which formats can I upload?
JPG or PNG for comic pages, and EPUB for books — plus a PDF if you have one, for print-faithful layouts.
What happens if I take an item down?
The file will be deleted and anyone who has it in their library will lose it if they haven't downloaded their own copy.
